About
Hi, I’m Lisa Hsieh.
Dear Grey Elle started during a time of reflection, when I was contemplating closing a chapter that meant everything to me. For the past 15 years, I built two clothing brands from the ground up—the most recent, Mien Studios, was a 10-year journey that taught me a lot about resilience, creativity, and what it really means to build something meaningful. Stepping away wasn’t easy, but it opened the door to something new—something more personal.
This next chapter is slower, more intentional, and deeply rooted in the life I’m building with my family.
The name Dear Grey Elle is for my children, Grey and Elle. They’ve changed how I see the world. Through them, I’ve learned to appreciate the small things, to move slower, and to focus on what really matters.
Here, I share pieces of that life—our favorite home-cooked meals from my Taiwanese-American heritage, the wellness routines helping me feel stronger and more grounded, and the creative projects that bring me joy. There’s gardening, motherhood, storytelling, healing, and figuring out how to start over in your 40s with more clarity and less pressure.
If you’re going through a big transition, feeling burnt out, or simply craving a slower, more meaningful way to live and create—this space is for you.
Thanks for being here.
Lisa
